November is Financial Literacy Month in Canada, and The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) has used this month to launch a video series, aimed at helping homebuyers. Along with the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC), CREA has developed a series of short videos that define terms and concepts that homebuyers should be familiar with.
The videos are aimed at helping lessen any confusion for homebuyers during the process, and hopefully answer some questions while providing valuable information about mortgages and homebuying.
“Buying a home may be one of the biggest financial decisions consumers will ever make. That’s why financial literacy is so important and why I’m pleased that November is Financial Literacy Month,” said Kevin Sorenson, Minister of State (Finance). “When consumers have the financial knowledge they need, they are better able to make informed choices and contribute to a prosperous Canadian economy.”
The videos will be released every Tuesday and Thursday throughout November, and can be viewed on the CREA YouTube Channel. If you want more tips and information for Financial Literacy Month, check out FCAC on Twitter.
