The 5 Commandments of Christmas gift giving

I came across an excellent post earlier this morning and had to share. My favorite sentence “When you hit the shops this year, remember that while holiday spending might feel essential, the people you love don’t want it to come at the expense of your financial stability”. The last part of the sentence isn’t anything we don’t already know, but I think it’s a great reminder as at times we can go a little overboard. Anyway, here are the Five Commandments:

  1. Thou shalt determine what you can afford
  2. Thou shalt stick to the plan
  3. Thou shalt learn to say no
  4. Thou shalt not justify stupid behaviour
  5. Thou shalt give unapologetically
